G/F.O.T.T.® | Ground Courses
The five- or six-day F.O.T.T.® Ground Courses all convey the basic knowledge of the F.O.T.T.® concept in theory and practice on the assessment and treatment of the oral tract and face in patients with central lesions, including neurogenic dysphagia.
The course offer is aimed at participants who have completed professional training and work with neurological clients in a therapeutic or nursing context.
Overview
Three F.O.T.T.® Ground Courses address different clientele and several speciality occupations:
- The Ground Course Standard relates to neurologically affected adults due to acquired brain damage.
- The Ground Course for carers is also aimed at neurological affected adult clients with the difference that the Ground Course for carers is geared towards everyday professional life in the care of patients.
- The Ground Course children is designed for children and young people with special needs due to complex multiple disabilities.
In all Ground Courses, the theory learnt is put into practice right away. An e-learning module is an integral part of all courses.
If possible, they take place in interprofessional and multidisciplinary course groups.
