Interested to host a F.O.T.T.® Course?
If an institution/clinic is possibly interested in organising a F.O.T.T.® Course
Introduce the F.O.T.T.® concept in your institution/clinic and thereby provide access to it for your staff and/or external interested parties from nursing-therapeutic professional groups, so that it can benefit clients with central lesions, including neurogenic dysphagia, in the long term.
Central lesions often affect one or more facial-oral functions such as breathing, swallowing of saliva, food intake (eating and drinking), speaking, oral hygiene and/or lead to sensory-motor and perceptual impairments of the face. The whole-body disturbance patterns are considered in the context of the existing disease and the resulting problems in everyday life.
Contact for further information
If you are interested, we will be happy to provide further information on the conditions required for the implementation of an F.O.T.T.® Course, e.g., materials, premises and costs. In this case, please contact the managing director, Ms.

For a start we recommend the F.O.T.T.® Ground Courses which all provide the basic knowledge of the F.O.T.T.® concept by Kay Coombes. These interprofessional courses in theory and practice on the assessment and treatment of the oral tract and face in patients with central lesions, including neurogenic dysphagia, usually last five days.
The Ground Course for carers is designed for everyday professional care of nursing patients. While the Ground Course children refers to children and young people with special needs due to complex disabilities, the Ground Course Standard relates to adults affected by acquired brain injury.
All Ground Courses include an e-learning module. Designed for participants with completed professional training who work with neurological clients in a therapeutic or caring context.
